A first post, mostly to check that everything works.

This site has three parts: a place to write, a tracker for the movies, series, video games, books and comics I get through, and a small admin area where I keep the tracker up to date.
Posts are plain markdown files in content/writings. To publish one, add a file,
commit, deploy. There is no editor, no database and nothing to log in to.
What markdown does here
Standard markdown plus the GitHub extras: tables, task lists, strikethrough and automatic links. Raw HTML works too, for the odd flourish:
